What Does It Mean If My Gift Is Expired or Canceled?
Why you might see an expired or canceled gift status—and what to do next.
If you’re seeing a message that your gift has expired or was canceled, here’s what that means and how to move forward.
❌ Canceled Gifts
A gift may be canceled if:
-
The sender chose to cancel it before you claimed it.
-
The campaign it was part of was paused or ended early.
-
There was an issue with processing or inventory that required a manual cancellation.
💬 If you're unsure why your gift was canceled, reach out to the person or company who sent it—or contact our Care Team for help.
⌛ Expired Gifts
Gifts usually include a claim deadline. If you didn’t claim your gift by that date, the link will no longer work and the status will show as expired.
This is typically done to:
-
Keep things organized for senders
-
Help manage inventory availability
-
Respect campaign timelines
📝 Note: Unclaimed gifts are not automatically resent. If you missed the window, we recommend contacting the sender directly to see if a new gift can be issued.
