Setting up your Milestones Campaign - Birthdays

Celebrate your team members on their special day!

Whether your team is big or small, we all get busy! It's really hard to remember every special day that comes and goes - even when you're trying your best. Setting up a Milestones Campaign takes away all of calendar reminders, tasks and other work you need by automating birthday gifts for you! 

 

 

To get this process started:

1. Select the gift that you would like to use for your campaign 

If you would like to set up multiple Birthday campaigns (ex: one for you C Level Team, one for you Mid-Level Team, etc.) you can do so by following this step for each group! 

2. Once you've chosen your gift, select "Automated Milestones" as your subscription type and "Birthday" 

3. You'll then be prompted to add your recipients! You can add by:

    • selecting "add new contact" and adding the individuals that way (want to know more about adding a new contact? check out our How to Create a New Contact article!
    • selecting individuals you already have in your contacts by checking the box next to their name
    • Add a new roster with the information of all of the individuals associated! (check out our Adding Multiple Contacts article!)

4. Once you've added your recipients, you'll be sent to a page that will notify you if any of your recipients do not have birth dates! If all do, you'll be prompted to continue

5. Add your birthday gift message 

6. Select your start date

For milestones campaigns, here is the biggest difference with "start date"

    • Immediate Start: subscription will get up and running today, but individuals will receive their email on their birthday at the time you started the campaign today
    • Future Start Date: Have the campaign start on a specific date of your choosing with the emails sending at a specific time!

We like to recommend using a future start date of the next day (so if you're setting up your campaign on 8/1, set up your start date for 8/2 at 9:00am), this way, your recipients will receive their email first thing on their birth date!

7. Once you add your payment information, select place order and your campaign will be set to go!
