Setting up your Milestones Campaign - Birthdays

Celebrate your team members on their special day!

No matter the size of your team, we all lead busy lives, making it challenging to remember every special occasion. Even with the best intentions, important dates can slip through the cracks. By setting up a Milestones Campaign, you can eliminate the hassle of calendar reminders and tasks by automating birthday gifts, allowing you to focus on what truly matters!

 

 

To begin the setup process:

1. Choose the gift you wish to include in your campaign.

If you wish to create multiple Birthday campaigns—for instance, one for your C-Level Team and another for your Mid-Level Team—you can easily accomplish this by repeating this step for each group!

2. After selecting your gift, be sure to choose "Automated Milestones" for your subscription type and then select "Birthday" as the occasion.

3. You'll then be prompted to add your recipients! You can add by:

    • choosing the "add new contact" option to manually input the details of each individual (if you would like more information on how to add a new contact, please refer to our How to Create a New Contact article!)
    • choosing individuals from your existing contacts by ticking the checkbox next to their names
    • creating a new roster by inputting the details of all individuals you wish to include! (check out our Adding Multiple Contacts article!)

4. After adding your recipients, you will be directed to a page that will inform you if any of them lack a birth date. If all recipients have their birth dates listed, you will be able to proceed to the next step.

5. Craft your birthday gift message.

6. Choose your campaign start date.

In milestones campaigns, there are two options for setting the "start date":

- **Immediate Start**: The subscription will activate today, and recipients will receive their birthday emails on their special day, based on the activation date.

- **Future Start Date**: You can select a specific date for the campaign to commence, allowing emails to be sent at a designated time of your choosing.

It is advisable to select a future start date for the day after your setup (for example, if you are configuring your campaign on August 1, set the start date for August 2 at 9:00 AM). This ensures that your recipients will receive their birthday emails promptly at the beginning of their special day!

7. After entering your payment details, click on "Place Order" to finalize your campaign and get it ready for launch!
