Setting Up Your Milestone Campaign: Tiered Anniversaries

Tiered anniversary campaigns let you recognize employees at key milestones—like 1, 3, 5, or 10 years—with automated gifting that adapts by tenure. Once set up, gifts are sent on the exact anniversary date using your selected budget tiers.

🛠️ How to set up a tiered anniversary campaign
1. Choose the gift for your first tier.
2. After selecting your gift, choose "Automated Milestones" as your subscription type and select "Anniversary."
3. You will then be asked whether you want your gifts to be based on employee tenure—select "yes."
4. Now comes the enjoyable part—selecting your gifts and determining which years they correspond to! Keep in mind the following:
- Each tier is organized by Anniversary Year.
- You can opt to provide gifts for one specific year by selecting "only," or for multiple years by selecting "through."
5. After finalizing your choices for the first tier, click "add tier."
6. Next, specify the year or years you want to acknowledge and select your next gift.
7. Continue this process as many times as you wish until you have completed your selections.
8. Finally, click "continue."
9. You will then be prompted to add your recipients. There are several ways to do this:
- Choose "Add New Contact" to manually input individual details. For guidance on this process, refer to our article titled "How to Create a New Contact."
- Select recipients from your existing contacts by checking the box next to their names.
- Create a new roster by entering the information for all individuals associated with the campaign. For assistance, please see our article on "Adding Multiple Contacts."
10. Once you have added your recipients, you will be directed to a page that alerts you if any of them do not have recorded anniversary dates. If all recipients have valid dates, you will be prompted to proceed.
11. Enter your personalized anniversary gift message.
12. Enhance your recipients' experience by utilizing your custom branding! This adds a special touch to your already thoughtful anniversary gifts.
13. Choose your campaign's start date.
For milestone campaigns, there are two options for setting the "start date":
- **Immediate Start**: Your subscription will activate today, but recipients will receive their anniversary emails based on the campaign's start date, which is today.
- **Future Start Date**: You can choose a specific date for the campaign to begin, allowing emails to be sent at the designated time.
We recommend selecting a future start date for the day after you set up the campaign. For example, if you create your campaign on August 1st, set the start date for August 2nd at 9:00 AM. This way, your recipients will receive their anniversary emails right at the start of their special day!
14. After entering your payment information, click on "Place Order" to finalize your campaign setup and get it ready for launch!

Once live, the system will:
- Calculate each recipient’s upcoming work anniversary
- Identify the correct tier based on years of service
- Automatically send the assigned gift
- Track each order in the Orders tab
- Capture recipient sentiment in the Gratitude tab
📏 How to manage tiers
- You can define any number of tiers (1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10+ years)
- Each tier can have a unique gift collection
- You can edit or add new tiers at any time
🔍 Monitoring and editing your campaign
You can:
- View performance in the Orders tab (filter by “Anniversary Campaign”)
- Pause or edit your campaign at any time
- Upload new recipients or update start dates without disrupting the campaign
